So far, Dragonflight appears to address these issues, hopefully moving the game forward. Players have also expressed a need for change in other areas of the game like professions, where few crafted items have value, and Talents, which have been so streamlined they leave little choice for character growth. World of Warcraft needs to evolve alongside gaming. Grinding has always been a staple of MMOs, whether its leveling or working towards rewards, but there are many ways to go about it now. Even when a player really commits to the grind and makes progress, the newest content is often time gated, which usually means waiting a week to be able to continue. Players choose where to start and play through the story, then spend the rest of the time grinding factions, currency, and leveling equipment via world quests, while also pushing through a handful of mythic dungeons for more gear. Legion, Battle for Azeroth, and Shadowlands all have a similar flow.
